Robin Hood the Prince of thieves???
June 26th, 2010 by 5f
During literacy this term 5F have been learning about the legend that is Robin Hood! We have explored Nottingham castle and Sherwood forest and used fantastic adjectives and adverbial phrases to write about them. This week we have re-written a dramatic fight scene between Robin and Sir Guy of Gisburne in our own words using fighting adverbs and varied sentence types. Soon we will be re-writing the whole story so we’ll keep you informed of how that goes…

Jungle News
November 4th, 2009 by 5f
To continue our jungle theme in the classroom, we decided to decorate panels of cloth with bright leaf prints, which we could be festooned around the classroom and hung from the windows.
At break we collected loads of differently sized and shaped leaves which had fallen from the trees and bushes. The creative bit began after lunch – leaves were covered in paint (as were we…), rollers wielded and panels hung from clothes pegs around the room. Cleaning up always seems to take longer than any activity – just ask Mr Freeman – but at least we have made a start and can now begin to design our bugs and beasties which will be able to munch on the leaves.
